Heavy rains (torrential at times, but overall steady and relentless for two days - ick) caused flooding in our area. Our neighbor's yard resembled a duck pond, and even the hydrant in front of our house looked like it was about to float away. Talk about an absolute mess. Sodden branches snapped in high winds, the rains pulled down some power lines here on the Island (thankfully not ours)... I guess the good news is that we won't have drought issues this year.
