Sometimes, it's the perspective that really catches your attention. It was a pretty day - a sunny, blue-skied, fluffy-clouded day. But that in and of itself didn't strike me as particularly unique and photo-worthy. And then I parked my car in front of my home and took a second to look behind me using my driver's side rear view mirror. The sky dominates the photo, arching over the short bit of remaining street, the large tree, the bushes that grow along the waterline, even the bright yellow of the Dead End sign, all in miniature, fitting neatly inside my side mirror. Now that's cool. *snap*

I'm not sure why blue ice cream sounded like a good idea for Evan. Surprisingly, my home is not entirely blue... and this is not the first time my nephew's left my house with Smurfy blue hands. I'm just glad it wasn't my idea this time! :)

On a totally unrelated note, we held our annual AWFL fantasy football draft, and it appears that the software believes that I will come in 10th place (out of 12) in the league this year. Oh, that's heartening.

Another pair of pages from a Tracy White class, mostly. I didn't follow the instructions verbatim - I mixed things up a bit, adding extra pockets and layers and such, but the basic design does lean towards Tracy White's style. Beige wouldn't normally be a color I'd use so much, but it makes for a nice contrast with the black cardstock background. Classy.

I'm particularly drawn to the cluster of elements on the top of the right-hand page. I like how the shapes and colors overlap to create a little journaling block, or a perfect place for a title. Nice.

Came across some class kits from old CKUs/CE and decided to finish up a few pages and projects. The Bazzill cardstock with an edge is fun to play with, and I enjoyed the Arizona-inspired color scheme of this page. Love that the photo mat doubles as a pocket for journaling tags - I like interactive hideaway-type objects on my scrapbook pages.
